Prestiege Rankings

i've looked into the prestiege ranks on the portal and im very confused, could someone please explain this or better yet, just simplify it.  I'd be very grateful is both was done.  or at least the first choice >.>

Its just another way to identify your rank in the clan, but a little more detailed. like you can be the same rank as another person but a higher prestige so you are closer to the next rank.
I just copied the text from the prestige post Oscar made:
This is how Prestige ranking works. There are 10 ranks a member can climb through. 

The first and lowest, is the 1st prestige - roman number ﾉ (using an extraordinary font). A member with this prestige will be a Recruit. 
A member awarded prestige ﾉﾉ will become a Raptor Member. 
A member with prestige √ﾉ will become a Raptor Elite. 
A member with prestige ﾉﾒ will be given a council position. 

All rankings will be displayed with two minus symbols around it (Ex. -√ﾉ-).
Some members may never rank above prestige √ﾉﾉﾉ.  
The prestige ranking will be given by the council.
